Episode 1 – It all Started in Group Therapy
Introductions! Welcome to the first episode, where we explore valuable lessons from the COVID D&D campaign. During this adventure, I quickly learned that things don’t always go as planned, especially when players venture off the rails or get creative with their encounters.
Episode 2 – villain campaign
Villain Campaign – Selfishness as a motivation. This one would dive into the inverse nature of making objectives and inciting incidents for villain players. Motivated by revenge, these players must acquire fame and power surreptitiously. Mustache twirling and classic villainy references abound.
Episode 3 – i’m on a boat
On a Boat inciting incidents – Talking about adventures where characters meet on a boat at the start of a quest, were on a boat, or sank on a boat before the adventure begins.
There are several options coming from or during aquatic adventures. Tensions among crew members may serve as antagonists or what lurks beneath.
Episode 4 – Dark and Stormy Night (Standard Adventuring Party)
Standard Adventuring Party – Dark and Stormy Nights. Everyone knows it, loves it and has to start that way just once. We’ll talk about this classic intro and ways you can put a spin on it.
There’s basic and there’s tried and true methods. This one works but can be easily overdone.
Episode 5 – In Medias Res
Meetings of Opportunity. Some adventures happen in the middle of things, and there’s no time to explain what’s happening. We’ll discuss designs for more high-pressure narrative beginnings.
Star Wars, the Aeneid and many other episodic works start in medias res and it’s a very viable format.
Episode – 6 Not Always Bound by Blood
Navigating life’s intricate fabric, choices unfold paths to the extraordinary, demanding creativity, curiosity, and courage for a truly fulfilling journey.
